“The stretch of coast that culminates in Capo Vaticano is rich in history and beauty. It could be called Costabella with a touch of regret and nostalgia”.
With these words the Venetian writer Giuseppe Berto described Capo Vaticano and here, after having traveled a lot, he decided to stop and live.
The Capo Vaticano promontory faces Stromboli and the Aeolian Islands. It separates the gulf of Sant'Eufemia from that of Gioia Tauro and includes the coastal strip that extends from the Tono bay to the bay of Santa Maria. The natural beauty of the place, the proximity to Tropea and the relative proximity of Pizzo make Capo Vaticano one of the most evocative places on the Costa degli Dei.
